- You need 1 cup of Oil.
- Prepare 3 large of Onion sliced.
- Prepare 1/2 kg of Mutton.
- Get 2 tbsp of Ginger garlic paste.

- Get 1 tbsp of Red chilli powder.
- Take 1/2 tbsp of Turmeric powder.
- Provide 1 tbsp of coriander powder.

- Take 2 tbsp of Salt.
- Use 1 tsp of Black pepper corns.
- Provide 1 of Bay leaf.
- Provide 1 of Black cardamom(Bari elaichi).
- Get 4 -5 of Cloves(Laung).
- Prepare 2 sticks of Cinnamon sticks(daar chini).
- You need 1/2 cup of Yogurt.
- Take 3 tbsp of Biryani masala packet.
- Use 3 tbsp of Lemon juice.
- Take of Fresh coriander.
- You need 1 kg of Basmati rice.
- Take 1 tbsp of Kewra water.
- Prepare 1/4 tsp of Yellow food color.
Instructions to make Mutton biryani:
- In pot add oil and onion fry until golden brown.
- Add mutton and mix well until it changes color.
- Add ginger garlic paste and mix well for 2 minutes.
- Cover and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
- Add sliced tomatoes and mix well,add water and bring it to boil,cover and cook on low flame untill meat is tender.
- Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder,jaifil javitri powder,salt,all whole spice mentioned as above mix well and cook for 2 -3 minutes.
- Add potatoes,yogurt and mix well and cook for 10 minutes.
- Add lemon juice and cook untill oil separates and set aside.
- Boil rice with salt and whole spices.
- Assembling:in separate pot add boiled rice, mutton gravy masala, tomatoes sliced,lemon sliced and remaining boiled rice.
- In kewra water add yellow food color and mix well and drizle over biryani.
- Cover and steam cook on low flame for 8 -10 minutes.
- Serve with kachumar salad.
